Available Course Dates:
15th - 19th May 2017 | 23rd – 27th October 2017
Microsurgical workshops are run on a continuous basis throughout the year. During the course week, candidates are taught the basis of microvascular anastomosis concentrating on conventional suturing methods. It is felt a minimum of ST1 or equivalent, in a specialty needing microvascular surgery training, is required.
The workshops are practical, with every candidate operating a Zeiss microscope, to operate on in vitro and in vivo vessels. Tutors are always present. The course is taught in English. We regret we cannot provide translation.
A Personal Licence issued by the Home Office permitting in vivo work, is an essentially pre-requisite and takes at least 6 weeks to arrange. The Home Office charge for this is £242 (this is inclusive in the £,1500 cost). Licences for microsurgical training are only granted for the period of the course and are revoked immediately thereafter.Apply Now
